Next, I do a more cleaned up sketch and think about how I want my composition to be. Basically putting my initial ideas together and filling in the blanks to make a fuller image.

I also experiment with different placement for characters and backgrounds.

First I do a brain dump and doodle any ideas i have. I also write down my thoughts or list things id like to include.

Here I add in color and do a “final” sketch.

I would figure out my colors here and clean up all the areas I’m unsure about beforehand. Adding in color makes me rethink the composition and also look at new color combinations.

I also figure out my layer separations and opacity in this step if I’m screen printing this piece.

The last step is to fully color and print!
